is a partnership of 16 Seminole County agencies who work co-operatively to address the needs of homeless families with children in the county. Any agency can nominate a family for the program and if that family fits the profile of services for that agency, that agency will then provide those services and then arrange for other needed services as provided by the other partner agencies.
Family Team Conferencing (FTC) is the key tool used by the partner agencies to encourage the family in their choice to make a change. FTC guides the family to examine their own habits, norms and traditions that in turn would then lead to changes needed to ensure family stability and well being. This recent innovating technique is a recognized improvement in approach and could become the new norm in all of Seminole County.
