VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Mentor – Encourage families as they work toward transitioning to stable housing and independence.
Frequency of commitment: weekly*
Areas: Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties

Office Support – Assist with data entry, filing, answering phones, and special projects
Frequency of commitment: one-time or reoccurring
Areas: Program office in City of Sanford

Needs Drive
Personal Care Items: Collect shampoo, hair brush, deodorant, toothbrush and paste, etc. to be given to homeless families upon arrival at their initial assessment.
Non-perishable Food : Collect non-perishable food items, such as canned tuna, beans and fruit, peanut butter, pasta and sauce, rice, cereal, etc.
Move-in Baskets: Collect household and cleaning items to give to families when they move into permanent housing. (Good fit for small or large groups, corporate team building, and religious or civic organizations.)
Frequency of commitment: one-time or reoccurring
Areas: Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

Throw a Holiday Party – Plan and implement celebrations for families in the program, giving children a sense of normalcy during the holidays.
Frequency of commitment: one-time
Areas: Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties
